Company structure and background

Hempel Shipping is led by one managing director / shareholder. Due to high flexibility to the demands of market and to offer our services at low prices we always keep the number of our employees low. For projects of greater volume we employ additional freelancers and professional subcontractors. We are therefore able to offer tailor-made solutions to fit any of our Clients requirements.

At any time we are prepared to organize additional scientific equipment which is not on board of the ships at present (e. g. gravity corers, CPT-penetrometers, subbottom profiling systems, multibeam or side scan sonar).

We like to draw the attention to the fact that our head office and our vessels are fully accredited to the international QM-standards of ISM, ISPS and ISO 9001, and all our crew members have the appropriate qualification according to IMO.
